Invitation to Participate - Course 2
Thursdays from 18th February at 1-3pm
Broadbeach Library meeting room
Access to Meeting Room – enter the library through two consecutive sliding glass doors, then after the electronic security gate, immediately turn right. The room is available from exactly 1pm to exactly 3pm as other meetings are often booked in adjoining time slots.
Our time-slot was chosen because it is the most consistently available.
As with all U3A classes, please notify your convenor (me) if you cannot attend, but wish to continue your membership.
Any queries pls phone me 0433 061 222 -
or preferably email to -  george@lovedancing.com.au

The format of the course will be much the same as previously: Approximately ½ hour of slide show input illustrating,
v  Some public editing errors
v  Clarification of issues raised at last session
v  Various weekly topics such as, Including dialogue, Building characters, Eliminating packing (draft zero), Picturesque writing, Joining short stories, etc
Followed by critiques of our own creations.

The course is basically a repeat of last year’s, but ‘basically’ only indicates our direction. The input has been upgraded in line with new data and additional contributions/queries from members. And, our two-tiered critiques will be looking at our latest creations.

Week 1
Please bring a notepad, 3-500 words to share and 6 copies of your work (to share around).
There are no refreshment facilities in the room we have, but other library facilities including power, internet (you should not need), hard chairs, tables, rest rooms are available. Please remember all GCCC-operated rooms tend to be cool.

Discussion – Our purpose
Our MO.
A Powerpoint presentation
A skills word for this week – Critique (handout)
A task for next week
