Discovering Brisbane's History
A group of 12 members visited Brisbane for the first outing of Discovering Brisbane's History.
It was very interesting to have a guided talk about the convict built Commissariat Store Museum with its large range of past relics and the Convict settlement history in Brisbane. Afterwards we visited the new Casino and walked around the Skydeck.

Garden Appreciation Group
Our Garden Appreciation Group visited Kerkin Gardens on Friday. We were lucky to time the visit with the Jacaranda trees blooming. What a spectacular entrance and start to a wander around truly interesting gardens full of unusual and colourful plants. This group meets on the 3rd Friday of the month and explores a different garden each time. |
