Term 4 2025 Calendar December Tuesday 2 - Movie Outing at HOTA - Dead of Winter - 10am - all members welcome Wednesday 3, 17 - Trivia at Surfers Paradise Golf Club – 6pm to 9pm Wednesday 3 - Blokes Breakfast – 8.30am to 10 am – various locations Wednesday 3, 10 - Coffee Time at Burleigh Sports Club 10.45am to12noon Tuesday 9 - U3A Christmas Party at Currumbin RSL. 11.30am to 2.30pm - An invitation has been issued to all members. Friday 12 -Term 4 ENDS with some exceptions - see below: HOLIDAY EVENTS in DECEMBER Monday 15, 22, 29 December – Rummy-O & Modern Board Games - 1pm to 3pm at Club Robina -– all members and guests welcome Wednesday 17 December – Scrabble & Upwords - 10.30am to 12.30pm at Burleigh Waters Library– all members and guests welcome Thursday 18 December – Happy Hour at Kurrawa Surf Club 5.30pm to 6.30pm – all members welcome January 2026 Thursday 1 January – Online Membership renewal opens on Member Wizard - PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR CLASSES for 2026 There are several ways to renew your membership online:
$95 pa covers renewal of enrolment in all 2026 classes free with the exception of any equipment required for a specific class. Social events also require extra payment. $110 pa for new members HOLIDAY EVENTS in JANUARY Monday 5, 12, 19 January – Rummy-O & Modern Board Games 1pm – 3pm at Club Robina – all members and guests welcome Wednesday 7, 14, 21, 28 January – Scrabble & Upwords - 10.30am to12.30pm at Burleigh Waters Library– all members and guests welcome Monday 12 January – Membership Sign Up Day For members wishing to renew their membership and pay personally at Burleigh Waters Community Centre hall from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Coffee and tea available. Classes for 2026 restart on Monday 2 February |

Garden Appreciation Group Our Garden Appreciation Group visited Kerkin Gardens on Friday. We were lucky to time the visit with the Jacaranda trees blooming. What a spectacular entrance and start to a wander around truly interesting gardens full of unusual and colourful plants. This group meets on the 3rd Friday of the month and explores a different garden each time. |

Physical Activities
to keep you fit and healthy Monday: Why not give Yoga with our trained instructor a try? Tuesday: A Gentle Stretch routine, either on the mat or you can use a chair for seated stretching if needed Wednesday: 'Get fit with Physio' and 'Strong body, Strong mind', are also very popular activities with our trained exercise physiologist, Karen Ngo. |

Luncheons
Our monthly luncheons are usually held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Locations vary and the casual and friendly atmosphere is popular with members. We choose venues offering a varied menu as well as a seniors menu. To ensure you are up to date with dates and places for luncheons, please ensure your name is included on the Luncheons List. |

Ladies Breakfast Our ladies meet once a month on a Saturday morning at various venues to enjoy breakfast together. |

Choir Our Choir welcomes everyone. There are no auditions so come along and join our merry group. Choir meets on Wednesday afternoons weekly. |

Bus Excursions
Our last bus excursion was to Ipswich Nature Centre where everyone enjoyed wandering around the area observing the animals. Our bus trippers enjoy regular bus trips to different locations and stop for morning tea and lunch |

Our members in the Art group are busy painting and drawing for their next art exhibition They meet every Thursday afternoon on a weekly basis during school terms. |
