COACH EXCURSION : THURSDAY 21st APRIL 2022

It's time for the wheels to be turning again and all
Members and their Guests are warmly invited to email reply
'Expressions of Interest'
in joining our 1st Excursion for 2022.
We will be meeting by 9am at Merrimac State High School
(near the bus turn around at the School entrance)
for our 9.15am departure - to begin our travel to Stanleys Barn and the
Gold Coast Motor Museum, which are set side by side in the fabulous
Gold Coast Hinterland on 12 acres surrounded by native trees
and lush green grass, just beyond Oxenford.
We will be treated to a lovely morning tea at Stanleys Barn, upon arrival at approx 10.15am, which consists of a Barista Coffee/Tea accompanied
by a fresh house baked scone with jam and cream.
A tour of the amazing Gold Coast Motor Museum is scheduled for after morning tea and is an amazing attraction with a great selection of cars and motor bikes ranging from 1911 through the ages to 1988.
There are horse drawn buggies, push bikes and pedal cars and all sorts
of other forms of history including telephones,
tins, tools and period fashions.
After our first stop, we will continue on our journey towards Mt Tamborine
where we will have time to have a walk around the Gallery Walk there
before making our way to enjoy our lunch break at the beautiful
Mt Tamborine Botanical Gardens.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided then, but lunch is to be BYO, either from your kitchen, or from a kitchen at Mt Tamborine perhaps?
Then we will enjoy a scenic drive back to the Gold Coast expecting to be
back @ Merrimac State High by approx 4.30pm
It is estimated that the cost per person for this excursion will be approximately $40.00, however, as with all excursions, the costs are determined by the number of travellers, so the more the merrier
and the more cost effective also.
If you are keen to join in this day trip, please reply to this email with your expression of interest by FRIDAY 25th March and then all travellers will be
emailed the final plans, including the payment options,
by email, very soon after that date.
