A very warm welcome is extended to all Members and their Guests to join in on our first Coach Trip for 2019.

By popular request, we are going to return to FLUTTERBIES Cottage Cafe @ Tyalgum, for our dining experience from 11.30am on Thursday 21st March 2019, which will include  2 courses, followed by their delicious mini devonshire tea and or coffee. Red, White or Champagne can be purchased from the bar, for the special price of $7 per glass as well.

There will also be the very talented piano man to entertain us during our dining time and then we will have until approximately 1.45pm to have a look around at FLUTTERBIES before we board our coach to journey on
towards the heart of the Tweed Valley at the foothills of Mt Warning, seeing the beautiful rainforest bushland, paddocks and wildlife before arriving at  BUCKS FARM, where we will be entertained
with a very interesting  "Farm Talk"  in the Bush Barn and with time there also, to look around their farm shop.

Bucks Farm has been owned by Gerard Buck for over 40 years and their produce, including limes, avocados & bananas is picked daily for people to buy fresh through the farm shop as well as for use by restaurants & fruit markets in most states of Australia,

The shop also carries a large range of skin care, face care, hair care and pet care products
and soaps etc, as well as organic turmeric.  Bucks Farm has also featured on Better Homes and Gardens and Landline for the 2nd time in July 2018.

We will make our way back to the Gold Coast from Bucks Farm, with an expected arrival time @ Merrimac High School of 3.30 - 3.45pm.  We will be meeting at 9am @ Merrimac High School for a 9.15am departure and we will make a stop somewhere lovely for a complimentary morning tea break before arriving at Tyalgum for 11.30am.

It is estimated that this trip will cost approx $45.00 per person (all incl except the wine 🍷) however, as with all excursions - costs are determined by the number of travellers so : the more the merrier and the more cost effective.
If you would like to secure a booking, please reply to this email by FEBRUARY 28th and an email will be sent to
all travellers with the confirmed cost and final details very soon after that date.

The payment dates for this trip will be on Mondays March 4th and 11th at the U3A office.

Looking forward to another interesting outing together
Happy Daze Ahead
