In 2018 we will be running the following sessions for the iPad
1 Introduction to the iPad - For people who are considering taking the plunge and purchasing an iPad and are not sure. This will be a one off 2 hour session where you can learn what the iPad can do and ask questions in order to decide if it is for you. If there are sufficient numbers this will be run in April or May.
2 Getting the most from your iPad - For people who already have an iPad. This will cover the iPad in general and its main features, in addition it will cover the new features added by Apple with its release of the latest operating system iOS 11 and may be of interest to people who have been on previous iPad courses. Your iPad will need to be on the iOS 11 version of the operating system to attend this course.
This course will be 3 sessions of 2 hours each to be run from May.
3 Facebook/Managing Photos on your iPad - For people who have been on previous iPad courses or who are confident iPad users. This course will be run as 2 separate 2 hour sessions and covers:
- The basics of Facebook and some of the neat things it can do
- How to manage your Photos using the Photos application, covering organising and editing your photos.
This course will be run later in the year.
All sessions are run off site at the trainer's home as it is necessary to have Internet access which is not possible at Merrimac School.
Please email Linda (firstname.lastname@example.org) letting her know which course(s) you would like to attend.
Our language tutors Joelle and Silvain Repoux have once more offered to take classes in Arabic, Portuguese and Brazilian. Anyone interested should contact them on 0450 130 250.
Dates will be determined shortly and then will be advised .
Indonesian For Travellers
Please note this course has had to be postponed due to family commitments but may be introduced later in the year.
Catch it on the Web
I must remind you once again that U3A bulk emails sometimes get channelled into people's junk/spam mail so please check our website frequently to ensure you do not miss out on important news and information.
