Rent-A-Crowd
U3A Broadbeach is very fortunate to have a unique arrangement with Merrimac State High School which generously allows us to use their facilities. The reason? The School Principal believes that seeing our members taking part in lifelong learning is a wonderful model for his students.
Rent-A-Crowd is a U3A Broadbeach Initiative in which members may volunteer to help in activities in the school, either as an on-going service or for specific times of the year.
At the beginning of the year, the school provides details of opportunities for our members to volunteer. This may include helping Year 7 with homework, sewing for a school musical production, fishing with marine studies students, helping with a student group establishing a garden, giving a lecture on a topic in which you have expertise.
Once the details are known, the convenor will contact members.
